Did Billy Graham’s Sermons Cost Millions of Souls Salvation?

Last updated on November 2nd, 2019

First and foremost, prayers of comfort and healing to all those mourning the death of Billy Graham. I know Billy Graham’s sermons created a special connection with millions of people around the world. Today they’re all feeling the pain of his loss right now. With all that said, I know you’re wondering why I asked the question, “Did Billy Graham Sermon’s cost millions of souls salvation?” (more…)

Are Christians once saved always saved?

I’ve found myself somewhat curious about this throughout my journey of discovering scriptural truth. I know some people say yes and some people say no, but fortunately since we have scripture, it’s my conclusion it can give us all the answers we need to know on major theological concerns without too much speculation. As I say often, it’s important for a Christian to always go by all of the scripture on everything as much as possible, and align themselves in agreement with it, because the scripture should always have the final say on one’s understanding of things (2 Tim 3:16). With that said, let’s start from the beginning of how one first of all gain’s salvation to even potentially lose it in the first place. (more…)

What is God’s plan for my life?

What is God’s plan for my life? Such a common question asked by many of professed Christians, but yet many fail to find that answer staring right back at them in Scripture. It’s somewhat of a pet peeve of mine that some expect God to have a specific designated special plan for their life as if they’re destined to achieve some kind of grand self-fulfilling purpose especially made for them. Students of the Word, I challenge you to recognize that your purpose in life is not specific, but in actuality quite general. We’ve all been given a general purpose as followers of Christ to fulfill God’s will (which is to say his desire that we commit ourselves to obeying His instructions of us in Scripture) and to advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Is Baptism Necessary For Salvation? Yes! Please Do It!

Last updated on November 17th, 2019

Is Baptism necessary for salvation? Yes! Please do it! You never know when your time is going to come. I’ve heard just about all of the arguments denying the necessity of baptism for salvation. I thought I’d go through some of the most common ones. I hope if you’re reading this already disagreeing, you’ll read this with a open mind. I’ve sincerely written this with a concerned heart for the souls that may be potentially lost. In the end, your decisions are all in your control and you’ll do what you think is best as we all do. Have you obeyed the Gospel of Jesus?

Last updated on October 10th, 2019

Have you obeyed the Gospel of Jesus? I would imagine for most who have professed to be Christians, that’s not a question they’ve ever heard. Instead, they were probably asked, have you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? It was a question I was asked myself, and funny enough even though I prayed that little “sinner’s prayer”, I’d find myself praying it again from time to time. Almost as if I instinctively knew I wasn’t really saved yet. But it would take me a few more years before I would finally discover the truth. And now here I am trying to help others discover the truth, as I do my part in advancing the cause of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. (more…)

Why “praying to receive Christ” won’t get you saved

Last updated on October 10th, 2019

Building off of what I stated near the end of my last post, I’m writing this post to continue to fulfill God’s will for my life as a follower of Christ, by advancing the cause of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I’ve previously written a post on what the Scripture seems to indicate on how one receives salvation, which I’d highly recommend you’d read, but I never addressed the topic of how many professed Christians today promote the belief of one praying to receive Christ in order to gain salvation. Before I address this topic, I would just simply request that we withhold all pre-held beliefs and conclusions, and just let God lead us through His Word in what He appears to show us to believe and conclude. It’s something that I want to continually stress in every post that I write, that with anything in life, we have to continually ask questions and investigate Scripture objectively rather than just looking at it through the prism of what our traditions have taught us. We have to research the verses on whatever we’re trying to understand, and do our best to put all of the Scripture together, acknowledging all of the Scriptural facts in establishing our beliefs. Observing blog posts tagged as Christianity

Last updated on October 10th, 2019

As much as I enjoy writing these posts, I also like to take the time to observe what my other fellow bloggers who write on Christianity are writing about. When I observe the posts that pop up in the Christianity tag, it’s always interesting to me how much I see just about the same things. The common theme of topics seems to reflect Christianity as one’s personal journey of triumph that God is preparing and changing that person for. Whether it’s a new job, a spouse, or whatever, that’s what the Christian journey all seems to boil down to for some. God being the deliverer of personal fulfillment of one’s earthly desires in life. When I read these types of posts, I always find it really odd, because it sounds nothing like what I read in the Scripture. (more…)
