God, Man, and Nature

Imagine a time you were in a green forest, on a sunny beach, or anywhere in nature. Think about the feelings you felt in some of those moments. In the midst of all the bright screens that our eyes are staring at today, perhaps we’ve limited ourselves in how much more we can connect with God. Maybe in spending some more of our time in nature, we bring ourselves even closer to God. Let’s reflect on scripture for a moment. God Wants You to Sing to Him

How often do you sing to God? Do you know that God wants you to sing to Him? Probably not questions you get asked often. With each of these posts I write, I always hope for one of two things that I can accomplish for you and even for myself when I get thought provoking responses. I hope that we’re all getting closer to accurate Christian beliefs based on God’s Word, and I also hope that we’re doing more things stated in God’s Word to have a deeper connection with God. What an excellent question to ask ourselves as a Christian gut check. Are we missing the point of being a follower of Christ? When you open up scripture with your hands, your eyes skim through the text of the Gospels, and your mind is trying to figure out the important stuff in all of the interactions Jesus has with people, what do you see the point of being a follower of Christ is? You reflect on that for a moment.

What Adam and Eve tell us about human nature

As I was reading through the story of Adam and Eve, I found myself pondering things. Given according to Scripture these were the first humans ever to be in existence, perhaps they provide us a lot of interesting insights into who we are. Given this is the first recorded encounter that God ever had with humans, perhaps this account provides us with some insights of who God Is. There are many things that could come to mind when looking at the story of man’s creation and man’s fall.
